Scaler Academy Scam Exposed | Interviewbit Exposed

Don’t join it! Just Don’t yet! Here is the breakdown of the interview-bit academy!
Screening Process
The screening process for joining this course itself is on a higher standard. It is on par with a standard product company’s hiring process. So you should have already studied 70–80% of the interview syllabus to even join the course. So if you’re able to make it through by answering 3 or more questions, give yourself a pat on your back. You’re almost ready for the interviews! just one or two months of focused hard work and you’ll join a very good company. This is what the clever guys at interview bit already knew. So basically they’re just charging you money for what you’re already going to achieve.
Lectures
The lectures are a bunch of BS. They basically take a few questions ( More than 85% of them are in their free coding platform ) and explain 1 or 2 of the problems. Now they give you 4 or 5 questions to solve as an assignment. You won’t be able to solve them by watching their lectures. Instead, you have to learn them online yourself. Do you really want to pay Rs.3,00,000 for this? For stuff which you can get more detailed and elaborate answers on YOUTUBE for free? And heck, You’ve got GeeksforGeeks and Freecodecamp which has a ton of information and are absolutely freeDon’t be lazy and do a lot of digging and you’ll eventually learn all the technical stuff related to interview preparations. Or take much cheaper but worthy courses below Rs. 15000, if you need a structured learning experience. You definitely don’t want to pay Rs. 3,00,000 for interview bit for the lectures.
Teaching Assistant
Teaching Assistant is assigned to a batch of students to explain the solutions of two questions. As I said earlier, You can find a ton of free videos with a far better explanation. Most of the questions they use are very popular interview questions for which the solutions are already available for free. So It’s not worth Rs.3,00,000 either!
Mentors
After you’ve enrolled in the course, You can choose a mentor to guide you. You’ll be having a 30-minute session every two weeks. And I should say this is the best and the only good thing this course provides. You can gain a lot of knowledge by talking with them and their experience definitely helps you greatly. (Assuming they don’t cut off these mentor sessions after a month or two). He/She can even refer you to companies. But the interview bit has to pay money for every session they take. So it’s useful. Let’s see the breakdown
Number of mentor sessions in 6 months (Assuming they don’t cut you off)=12
Let’s assume the mentors charge Rs.1000 per session (On an average)
Total amount spent on mentors/student= 12*1000 = Rs. 12,000
Let’s add Rs.8000 generously for their shitty content. Then, the actual worth of this course interview bit academy provides= Rs.20,000
It is nowhere near Rs.3,00,000 they’re charging
When students hear about PAY AFTER YOU GET JOB using ISA, they always assume that interview-bit academy guarantees a job. NO!
Read the statement again. It’s More like this “If you get a job more than min CTC, you have to pay 17% of your salary”. It’s not a job guarantee!
Remember you have to pay the fixed sum even if you are not working after joining a job!
So how does interview-bit academy get money, if many students don’t get placed?
So as I’ve said earlier, You should be a hard-working and eager student to even clear the entrance test. There’s a higher chance that you are going to get a job of 6 lakhs or above in the period of one year even without interview bit help. So you are going to end up paying them money. Even if 60% of students end up paying back, They’ll still earn a lot more profit.
(Also you could get fake job offers above min CTC from a fake registered company and get fired later. Now you are liable to pay even though you don’t have a working job. So read the ISA carefully! Opening a company is very easy these days. So is creating offer letters and firing) If you hear something as we’ll hire you in “remote companies”, this could be the most likely scenario
Placement records:
Their placement records are very shady and inconsistent. There are no reliable placement statistics. There are like 10–15 people who got their placements and have mentioned interview-bit and most of them ended up finding jobs on their own without interview bit help. But their website boasts salary ranges of 18–35 Lakhs so it’s a red flag.
Who shouldn’t join this academy?
  1. If you are in college final year and already have a job offer with CTC >=6 LPA, Don’t ever join this course. Make friends and form connections keep hustling and you’ll eventually join a company of your choice. Don’t pay Rs. 3,00,000 unnecessarily
